Meeting minutes for August 9th, 2004

Present: Andy Gal (Vice President), Steve Ip (Secretary), Tyler Borges (Social Coordinator), Brent Dozzi (Treasurer), Shaun Hodgins (House Liaison), Justin Malcolm (Web Guy)

As a quorum was achieved, the meeting was called to order at 19:28

1. Executive Reports:
• Secretary
  • Newsletter will be coming in September

• Social Coordinator
  • Have a host for Xmas Social

• Web Guy
  • Server is doing well, including the Email list and web stuff
  • Updated addresses
  • Inform the new alumni of the web service
  • sigphi.ca addresses for neophytes

• Vice President
  • Nothing to report

• Treasurer
• House expenses:
• House insurance $980/year
• Property taxes & utility $560/mth
• Operation a/c has a deficit of $380
• $5778 in Maintenance a/c, $150 of which will be reserved for Chief's bursary.
• Will look into setting up a Transelect for donations, which is the easiest method of payment.
• House Liaison
  • Dry-walls are up, no open insulation.
  • Renter Screening panel for next summer
  • 2 months deposit required before moving in
  • Special rental policy for non-Frat (rental agreement)

2. Agenda
• Needs a new map for Pub Crawl, new additions to route.
• Xmas Social at Kevin & Angela Oldknow's. Need to confirm availibility of Party Rm of the Apt complex.
• Contacts are missing in National website directory
