Meeting minutes for April 12, 2004

Location: Champs Sports Pub, Radisson Hotel, Burnaby

Present: Kevin Deane-Freeman (President), Andy Gal (Vice President), Steve Ip (Incoming Secretary), Tyler Borges (Social Coordinator), Edmund Gin (Outgoing Secretary), Bryce Bendickson, Ron Byrne.

Apologies: Brent Dozzi (Treasurer), Shaun Hodgins (House Liaison).

As a quorum was achieved, the meeting was called to order at 19:22

Executive Reports:

Outgoing Secretary
- mailing list on SPD server will be ready by end of week
- AGM minutes are available on web
Incoming Secretary
- Need to fill out and submit form 26
Social Coordinator
- Camping trip is coming, with a hot tub
- Please buy more kegs for Camping Trip
- Date for Pub Crawl will be decided before next meeting
Vice President
- Granville Island Pale Ale stinks
- Prophecy: lots of drinking at Camping Trip

Thanks to Edmund "Ead" Gin for his four years of diligent service as the Vancouver Alumni Chapter secretary [Round of applause]

House Liaison Proxy
- House rent dues were basically clean until 1997
- Need to generate a comprehensive list of old dues
- May be posted up in the next newsletter
- Issues will be resolved privately as much as possible before going public

Agenda

Western Province Retreat/ Road Trip
- Financial assistance is available from National. Budget for each chapter is about US$500 per year.
- Most likely will happen during Labour Day long weekend.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 20:12
