Apologies:Kevin Oldknow (Western Province Councillor)
As a quorum was achieved, the meeting was called to order at 7:00pm.
Invites were produced by KDF, with RSVPs to go to HE. HE indicated this was not a good idea. Discussion about RSVPs set aside. It was noted that approximately 50 people showed up to the Social last year. It was suggested that for people with e-mail, the best way to RSVP was by e-mail. Both KDF and EG offered to track e-mail RSVPs. Snail-mail invites to go to last year's attendees first, since they were the ones that were most likely to attend. HE to call Mike Currie re: use of phone number. If MC not ok with using his phone number for RSVPs, then HE said it was ok to use his. BD mentioned that he couldn't make the party - so someone needed to collect money. KDF offered. Budget as follows:
Not done yet. Will send out when done.
A neighbour on the east side of the House was fed up with noise coming from the House, and finally decided to take action. He called up or e-mailed every National Officer one day. KO immediately took the responsibility to defuse the situation, and has set up a meeting with the Actives to do some fact-finding and hammer out some guidelines with regards to noise in the House. KDF mentioned that he would be at that meeting as well.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:30pm.
