- Summer Meeting Location
KDF asked if the Elephant and Castle at BCIT was acceptable, since they
close at 8pm, and most meetings do not last beyond an hour. JB pointed out
that they're ok with us staying late. We could probably use the patio and
settle our bill before they close, leaving our dishes and empties outside.
General concensus was to move back to the E&C for the next meeting. (Note:
2 for 1 appetizers on Mondays!!)
- Permanent e-mail Project
JM talked to National Treasurer Ed Hurst about the possibility of using
National's domain name for our Chapter's members via a server at the House.
EH indicated that he was not happy about the prospect of dealing with
dynamic IP addressing. JM was wondering about general concensus, and who
would be willing to host. JB suggested that the House and his place could
be used for such a setup. JM asked if ok to run from the House. JB
offered to run backup DNS from his home. JM: "What do we need?" JB: "I
can look into it." JM asked BD about opinion (approx. $30/year, Canadian).
JM offered to cover the cost for 10 years. JB to find out which service
he's currently dealing with (for breadner.ca).
