Meeting minutes for January 13th, 2003

Present: Kevin Deane-Freeman (President), Jan Erik Laursen (Vice President), Tyler Borges (Social Coordinator), Edmund Gin (Secretary), Chad Brown (House Liaison), Darren Farnworth (Western Province Councillor), Sean Grant, Bryce Bendickson.

Apologies: Brent Dozzi (Treasurer).

As a quorum was achieved, the meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm.

1. Executive Reports:

• Received Executive Director's report from National.
• Social Coordinator
  • Pub Crawl coming up quickly
  • Super Bowl Party deferred for this year
  • Robbie Burns Day - Boomer's band is playing at the Wolf and Hound

  • House survived Christmas Party
  • Homeless until end of January 23rd.

2. Christmas Social Wrap-Up

TBorges needs info from BDozzi. Estimates are that we broke even. Some leftover supplies.

3. Chief's Bursary

TBorges reminded Actives at the Wednesday meetings of Bursary's existence. KDeane-Freeman needs word from BDozzi - EGin to contact BDozzi re: finances. If ok, applications to go out.

4. Annual General Meeting

Tentatively scheduled for Mar 21st, 2003, at 7:00pm at the Theta Chapter House. Tentatively cancel the regularly scheduled March meeting (ie. March 10th).

5. National Report

WPC DFarnworth reported that Beta Alpha Chapter was installed in Bangladesh. Next General Convention is in Illinois, with Delta Chapter as host. Noted he was not voted in - appeal for nominations has been sent out. Online Store making progress. A new logo is now in existence. Eta Chapter to administer the Online store.
